  1、 Operating standards

1. Preparation before the experiment

-Check the equipment: Ensure that the power supply of the leakage trace tester is normal, and all connecting wires and plugs are intact. Check if the equipment is clean and free of debris.

-Select appropriate samples: Select appropriate test samples according to the testing standards and ensure that their size matches the instrument testing platform.

-Environmental conditions: The experiment should be conducted under specified environmental conditions (temperature, humidity). Ensure that the laboratory environment meets the testing requirements and avoids external electromagnetic interference.

2. Set test parameters: According to standard requirements, set appropriate test voltage, test time, and other parameters. The voltage setting should be selected based on the rated voltage of the test sample to avoid damage to the sample caused by excessive voltage. Confirm that the readings of measuring instruments such as voltmeters and ammeters are accurate, and select the correct range.

3. Conduct the experiment: Place the sample correctly on the testing platform to ensure good contact between the sample and the electrode. Start the testing device, observe voltage, current, and other related data, and record any abnormal situations during the testing process. When the current or voltage reaches the set value, carefully observe the insulation performance of the sample. If there is a trace of leakage, stop the test in a timely manner and record the data.

4. Experiment completion: After completing the experiment, turn off the power of the testing instrument, clean the testing table and equipment, record and save the test data. Properly handle the test samples and dispose of waste according to regulations.

  2、 Maintenance and upkeep standards

1. Daily cleaning: Regularly clean the surface and interfaces of the instrument to prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt, which may affect testing accuracy. Wipe the instrument with a clean soft cloth to prevent moisture or liquids from entering the interior of the device.

2. Check the electrical components: Regularly inspect the electrical connections such as power cords, plugs, and grounding wires to ensure that they are not loose, aged, or worn. Check whether the setting of the test voltage is normal and whether the insulation of the electrical components is good.

3. Regular calibration: Regularly calibrate the leakage trace tester to ensure measurement accuracy and precision. It is recommended to conduct a comprehensive calibration every six months or adjust it according to the frequency of use.

4. Storage and handling: After use, store the leakage trace tester in a dry and ventilated environment to avoid high temperature, high humidity, and corrosive gases affecting the equipment. When handling equipment, handle it gently to avoid collisions and severe vibrations, and ensure that the internal components of the equipment are not damaged.

  3、 Common faults and troubleshooting

1. The device cannot start: Check if the power cord is securely connected and if the power socket is working properly. Check if the fuse is blown and replace it if necessary.

2. Voltage instability during the experiment: Check the stability of the power supply to ensure that the voltage source is normal. Check the voltage regulation section to ensure there is no looseness.

3. Abnormal test data: Ensure that the test sample is correctly installed and in good contact with the electrode. Check if the instrument is calibrated correctly and recalibrate.

The leakage tracing tester plays an important role in the quality inspection of electrical equipment. By following proper operating procedures and regular maintenance, the long-term stability of the equipment and the accuracy of test results can be ensured. Regular inspection, cleaning, and calibration are key to maintaining the instrument in good condition.
