Guidelines for Calibration and Maintenance of Wheelchair Dynamic Stability Testing Machines

  Wheelchair dynamic stability testing machineIt is a key testing equipment for evaluating the anti rollover ability of wheelchairs under dynamic working conditions such as slopes, turns, and emergency stops. It is widely used in medical device quality inspection, product development, and standard certification. Scientific calibration and standardized maintenance are crucial to ensure the accuracy of test data and the long-term stable operation of equipment.

1、 Regular calibration:

According to standards such as ISO 7176-1 and GB/T 18029.1, the testing machine should undergo comprehensive calibration at least once a year, with key components including:

Angle sensor and tilt platform: Use high-precision electronic level or laser calibrator to verify the tilt angle error (usually allowable deviation ≤ ± 0.5 °);

Speed and acceleration control system: Verify the travel speed and acceleration/deceleration curves of the motion platform through standard speed measuring devices;

Load simulation system: Check whether the weight of the counterweight and the center of gravity positioning device meet the requirements of the standard human body model (such as the test dummy specified in ISO 16840-1);

Data acquisition system: Synchronize and verify the consistency between force sensors, displacement sensors, and software records.

It is recommended to increase the frequency of temporary calibration during equipment relocation, major repairs, or abnormal test results.

2、 Daily maintenance:

Cleaning and dust prevention: After each test, remove dust and debris from the surface of the track, platform, and sensor to prevent mechanical jamming;

Lubrication and maintenance: Regularly add special lubricating grease to moving parts such as guide rails, screws, bearings, etc. according to the instructions to avoid dry grinding;

Electrical system inspection: Check whether the circuit is aging or loose, and ensure that the emergency stop button and limit switch function properly;

Software updates and backups: Install control software patches released by manufacturers in a timely manner, and regularly backup test parameters and historical data.

3、 Operator training

Only trained and qualified technicians are allowed to operate the equipment. Overloading or unauthorized modification of safety limits is strictly prohibited. Establish equipment usage logs to record each calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting process, achieving full lifecycle management.

By strictly implementing calibration and maintenance standards, not only can the repeatability of wheelchair dynamic stability test results be ensured, but equipment failures can also be effectively prevented, ensuring testing safety and providing solid technical support for the safety design and quality supervision of wheelchair products.
